Mauricio Pochettino who took the coach mantle this year July is under pressure from fans and the owners to return the club’s glory which has been under the bridge since the sanction of Abrahamovic led property by the UK government. The Blues, have spent a staggering one billion euros on transfers since the change of ownership, with Todd Boehly led consortium making an overhaul of management and the players since their arrival.

Statistically, Blues have created 81 chances, 20 behind Manchester city but sits with a gap of 14 points behind City. The youthful squad has been squandering their chances in final third with the coach missing a skilled and experienced finisher. Currently the Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson who leads with 12 big chances missed in the league this season reflecting the Achilles heel the team is suffering from.

The blues expect the return of the Frenchman to have an impact, considering he won the Bundesliga golden booth player of the season last spell with RB Leipzig before his switch to London club. The Blues welcomes Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge at five in the evening East Africa time, with the Blues having an awful home record with just 2 wins this season.

Despite of Nkunku’s return, the club is still fighting off injuries of their key players, with their captain Reece James suffering a fresh hamstring injury that will see him on the sidelines in the next three months while Marc Cucurella and Stopper Robert Sanchez also being on the sideline after Everton Loss extending the injury list hit by Pochettino’s side.

With Nkunku’s return, Chelsea fans are optimistic of change of performance, hoping that the versatile striker lives to their expectations having suffered in the hands of non clinical attackers.
